Established in 1945, and originally know as Jordan Florist.  In 1954 the florist was purchased by Ruth Mappin and her daughter Carol (Mitchell) on E Main Street in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. In the mid seventies Carol and her husband Lynn changed the name to Carol Lynn Originals still continuing the business with the same rich heritage it always had. Ruth Mitchell Babcock joined her family officially in 1986 to continue the legacy of bringing beautiful creations to the Lexington area. Carol retired in 2004, though she can often still be seen a couple days a week in the store helping her daughter with weddings and events. Ruth added Events to the name to focus on their ever growing Wedding and Event business. While they are still bringing wonderful everyday designs to Lexington, the business has had the opportunity to design so many truly magical weddings for so many.
