Established in 1945, and originally know as Jordan Florist.  In 1954 the florist was purchased by Ruth Mappin and her daughter Carol (Mitchell) on E Main Street in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. In the mid seventies Carol and her husband Lynn changed the name to Carol Lynn Originals still continuing the business with the same rich heritage it always had.

Ruth Mitchell Babcock joined her family officially in 1986 to continue the legacy of bringing beautiful creations to the Lexington area. Carol retired in 2004, though she can sometimes be seen in the store helping her daughter with Floral Preservation and events. Ruth added Events to the name in 2006 as the direction of the business was leaning towards the many Events and Weddings they were creating.

In 2019 Floral Preservation By Freeze Drying was their next direction to meet the ever growing demand of Creating a piece of floral Art through preservation. It is truly an honor to bring wonderful creations and designs to Lexington, and beyond. The business has had the opportunity to design so many truly magical weddings, events and preservations for so many.
